Abstract

The UK Gov. technical report (2022) stated that the two most important future skills’ needs for the ‘managers/entrepreneurs’ priority area are the communication (73%) and people (43%) skills. The pandemic and the rapid technological changes have negatively affected students’ ability for active listening; verbal and written comprehension; building teams; and resolving conflicts. This talk will share new and actionable insights drawn from a longitudinal case study on the gradual development of a holistic action learning approach that involved innovative T&L pedagogies for the enhancement of future communication and people skills through student engagement. The talk will share illustrative examples from student video testimonials, photos from in class activities, group and individual assignments, and students and staff’ s critical reflections.
