Abstract
Enterprise activities engage students’ creativity, capacity for innovation, team-working, and taps into their subject knowledge. It provides students with professional and transferable skills. Furthermore, Enterprise can provide exciting and enjoyable activities alongside more traditional teaching and learning opportunities (e.g. lectures, practicals, tutorials). KU Enterprise Team provide tailored and Enterprise staff-led activities, which can be incorporated into undergraduate and postgraduate courses, where students work in groups to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems relevant to the module syllabus and content. Enterprise activities have previously not been incorporated into LS (Life Science) modules. We aimed to incorporate Enterprise activities in several LS modules during 2020-21. Due to Covid restrictions, we developed and delivered these activities online through MS Teams, for three undergraduate LS modules in TB1 and TB2 in 2020/1. In this presentation we will share our experiences of a) developing Enterprise activities for Life Science modules b) delivery of Enterprise sessions on MS Teams, using MS365 collaborative tools c) student engagement and output and d) student and staff views on the activities.
