Abstract

THE STARS BELOW hosted by Anne Duffau (A- - -Z) this week interviews the artist: JJ Chan. They work across sculpture, moving image, and writing, and draw from lived experience and stories stolen from eavesdropped conversations, to explore the edges of realities in constructing identity. Through storytelling and world-building, they (re)search for an alternative space beyond aggressively progressive capitalist time, seeking new worlds from the ashes of the present. /// Soundscapes from new or unreleased tracks by international young/upcoming musicians in electronic music as well as short interviews with artists, curators, writers – themes explored will be around the thinking at other option, possibilities in this uncertain world – expanding onto the current and urgent need for a positive and speculative future with another time frame to deconstruct imperialist history.
