Chamanga, Edwin and Irwin, Lillah (2018) Implementation of a wound care mobile app in a community setting. In: Wounds UK Annual Conference; 05-07 Nov 2018, Harrogate, U.K.. (Unpublished)
Abstract
Guest and colleagues identified the challenge in wound management associated with poor assessments and wound diagnosis. A challenge that also translated to local practice, as highlighted by the CQUIN baseline audit. The above coupled with the Department of Health drivers of delivering streamlined services by mobile working, whilst delivering traditionally delivered services more productively and efficiently. Therefore, Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust implemented their wound care formulary as a mobile App, maximising on their previous investment in iPhones for all district/community nurses.
