Abstract
The aim of this research was to discover if there was a conflict between public sector investment and public policy. Through research into 101 UK Local Government Pension Scheme I discovered a number of local authorities, whose statutory responsibility is the promotion of public health through such things as anti-smoking campaigns, were at the same time investing millions in international tobacco companies.
