Additional Information: | A range of bus stops designed to replace the (1940's) concrete stops throughout the London network. The modular design enabled signage, illumination and telecoms services to be easily installed, rearranged or removed. Options included a rotationally-moulded temporary stop (with interlocking sections for ease of handling), timetable and poster units, 'countdown' and lighting units. Client: London Transport Buses (LTB). Collaborator: Fitch, London. Scale of Production: 19,000 permanent (including 100 illuminated) & 2,000 temporary stops. Market and Distribution: Greater London. Selected for the 'Designed for London' exhibition at the RIBA Gallery, London (Aug.-Dec. 1995) and a Review Gallery exhibition at the Design Museum, London (Jan.-May 1997). |
