Abstract
Paper examining how the excess and lack exhibited by makeup across McQueen’s shows is illustrative of the double bind in which women find themselves when they apply it or when they don’t, The paper examines how this catwalk makeup exploits this space of fashion performance to dramatize and challenge the ideological positions defined for women in Western culture in particular.
