Abstract
During the 1920s, the Conservative Party, under leader Stanley Baldwin, was keen to reach out to the 'younger generation' and create a new wave of Conservative activists. Much effort was thus placed into the growth of the 'Junior Imperial League' (JIL). This article explores the nature of one such JIL branch at local level in Richmond.
