Abstract
The paper presents a model of international alliances in terms of cooperative games and complexity. It uses the alliance between the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation and Kingston University Business School, to examine the structure of alliances as adaptive systems and cooperative games, sets out a model and suggests a procedure for identifying the role of gains and costs. We derive some general guidelines for policy makers designing international alliances.
