Abstract
'The Kingston Turnpike' presented the work of five artists: Philip Akkerman, Andrew Bick, A.K. Dolven, Tal R and Annelies Strba. Internationally renowned in their field, the artists/works shown were selected by Bick to express a particular sensibility related to the fluid possibilities in current practise. Bick used the film "Being John Malkovich" as a skewed theme, allowingn unpredictable combinations of artis while functioning as a critique of the narrow, over-defined programming of much current curatorial practise.
