Additional Information: A mobile, freestanding public concourse information board for the Heathrow Express and Jubilee Line Extension. A versatile information board system offering slatted signplates, vitreous-enamelled writing surfaces and poster display in a tamperproof unit for use on London Transport platforms. Although originally only commissioned for the Heathrow Express line, the success of the system led to further production for the Jubilee line extension, and now it is specified across the London Transport tube and bus networks. Elson was responsible for the concept and its development. Clients: London Underground and Gebler Tooth Architects. Scale of Production: 20 for Heathrow Express; 1,000 subsequently specified across the London Transport network. Market and Distribution: Greater London.
