Abstract
This article briefly explores the nature and local activities of the National Citizens Union (formerly known as the Middle Classes Union) in the Richmond-upon-Thames area during the early 1920s. There has been very little written on the National Citizens Union, especially at the local level, and this article helps break new ground on this subject.
