Abstract

Technology is significant enabler of healthcare with examples ranging from telemonitoring, teleconsultations to machine learning and artificial intelligence. There has been numerous studies to support the role of technology enabled care and its impact on optimising health outcomes. With the current national and international focus to improve the early detection of cancer, it is important for healthcare professionals to have a better understanding of technology and its potential. This presentation will provide an overview of technology enabled care with a focus on artificial intelligence. • To provide an overview of technology enabled care • To review existing evidence, barriers and facilitators • To showcase INCISIVE which an EU funded project that aims to improve cancer detection using artificial intelligence
