Option and vision

Dray, Andy [Designer] (1996) Option and vision. Luggage.

Item Type: Design
Additional Information: Four injection moulded suitcases (Option range) and 2 'hop-sack' polyester suitcases and 3 trolley cases (Vision range). For the 'Option' range: easy manoeuvrability (swivel wheels, retractable handle, lightweight polypropylene moulding), easy and safe storage (recessed locks and catches) and guaranteed longevity. For the 'Vision' range: an ABS 'memory' frame enables the cases to spring back into shape after sudden impact. This was based on research into EVA vacuum-forming processes with Teflon polyester-coating which led to an ultra light and flexible design solution. Client: Carlton International, Enfield, Middlesex.
