Abstract
"If you look at it long enough..." is a user's account--40 years of looking at pornography. It attempts to raise issues around gay studies and academic "detachment." It is, to a great extent, autobiographical. But it also is the voice of a character speaking. A persona. It is a tribute to pornography and pornographers.
