Abstract

This work arose as a realist of an invitation to contribute from the curators of the 2018 Venice Biennale Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara. The work formed part of a group show entitled 'Close Encounter' in which architects made personal responses to a selected architect from history. Clancy Moore elected to celebrate the Danish architect Kay Fisker, whose monumental housing projects represent a radical architecture which was both generous, humane and innovative - in both scale and economy. The exhibit took the form of a reading room, and a catalogue of several of Fiskers seminal projects.
