Abstract
Reflective writing has become central to the teaching of practice professions such as social work and nursing. Efforts to teach this by using reflective writing within learning sessions may be an effective adjunct to didactic and theoretical perspectives covering reflective writing and reflective practice. This article summarises the use of reflective writing exercises with Bachelor's and Master's level-qualifying students in a university setting in the United Kingdom.
